Some people wonder what motivates me to be an actress. What better way
to understand the human species than to act?! I love being able to
portray the various people that make up this world … some likeable, some
not so much. To be able to tell a story and make people laugh, cry, get
angry, or think … that’s what motivates me and makes me love what I do.
A Chicagoan at heart, I can’t help but enjoy the weather that the West Coast provides. I love swimming in the ocean, skiing on mountain tops and playing tennis on land. I am always learning, exploring, growing. Acting fosters this …it allows me to be and do things that I, as Penny Shaw, might never do.
Professionally, I have performed in a variety of infomercials, commercials, and independent films. I enjoy doing voice over work and have lent my voice to
The Eye of the Storm on-line soap opera,
The Origin
of Man, and corporate training tutorials. I have also played different characters in print work.
